Sailent Features:
The SEW-HMX Link Motion Series Presses are dedicated to progressive forming presses and ensure higher productivity equivalent to conventional presses.
As SEW’s consistent efforts to develop progressive technology and aim to value added features to higher productivity then conventional press operations i.e. blanking, bending and shallow drawing for precision stamping for very precise and costly parts.
HMX-2 series presses for high precision progressive die applications.
Link motion provides high precision forming and improves to productivity.
Wide spacing between the pressure points provided to withstand off-centre loads effectively.
Frame structure is robust and symmetrical in both the directions to improve dynamic accuracy and to withstand the progressive stamping of thick sheet metal.
Die design and layout is easy because the distance between the suspension points is greater than the usable area and the structure withstands eccentric loads.
Amply dimensioned balancers reduce vibration and enable stable high-speed production.
Wider range of press capacities; from 200 ton to 600 ton to suit every progressive forming components. Customised presses with higher pressure capacities can also be offered.
Suitable for highly accurate and high value added components.
Link Motion ensures precise and smooth forming
HMX Slide velocity in Link Motion Press during the forming parts of the stroke is slower than conventional press which ensures increased forming time and reduce shock to the tool. As an outcome it will extend tool life and provide precise quality of forming in components.
The HMX Series develop with Link Motion drive which reduce forming velocity has predominantly increase quality of products, reduce noise, vibration and ensure higher productivity and longer tool life.
Ball seat designed for minimum total Clearance
HMX Link Motion Series presses are designed with PB2 ball seat which ensure too small clearance confirming to JIS standard Class1. This lower clearance enhanced tool life, reduce noise, product accuracy.
8 Point Long Guiding
HMX Series constructed with 8 Point Long Guiding and wide design suspension points will provide exceptional resistance to off-centre load. Highly precise machining of matching components during construction of press with use of Sintered Bronze Liners which ensures reduction of slide guide clearance. Slide guiding forced recirculating oil lubrication prevent ware and overheat as well as telescoping covers to protect against contamination.
Wide designed Suspension points reduce effect of Off-Centre Load
Suspension points are design as wider than operative tool area, ensure resistance to slide tilting due to off-centre load is considerably increased which extended tooling life and enhances product quality.
Four Piece Constructed Rigid Frame
HMX Series Press frame built with Four Piece Construction is hydraulically pre-stressed by tie rods and nuts to ensure maximum rigidity during high precision progressive forming.
WET Type Clutch / Brake
HMX Series presses fitted with Pneumatically Operated High Torque WET Clutch & Brake unit with Sintered Multi Disc Linings. This reduces maintenance cost of wearing components and perform superior during intermittent operation due to low heat. WET Clutch designed as absolutely enclosed not affected by dust and keep actuation noise level at very low.
Balancers at both end of Crank Shafts
At both ends of the crank shaft provided Balancers reduce stimulating force of the reciprocation slide and upper tool. Dynamic Balancers will ensure smooth rotation of crank shaft and reduce noise and vibration.
Sophisticated and Easy to use Touch Screen Control Panel
Touch Screen HMI with Mitsubishi FX-5U PLC with Ethernet port and Encoder base E-CAMS gives experience of ease of press operation, alerts, tool data storage, and crank angle indicator.
Control panel is floor mounted to ease operator’s manoeuvrability and flexibility in lay out.
With high SPM up to 100, these presses are more competitive. It is not only highly productivity but also excellent in product accuracy. Thanks to superb countermeasures against vibration and noise which brought both of them remarkably lower compared to other presses.
Useful widely for automotive parts and others in addition to those for office equipment. With the link motion, there is more flexibly to work on high tensile steel also.
